The underside of a surfboard as seen from under the waves. For many, summertime means the beach and all that entails. I can smell the sunscreen and the salty ocean air already. Matter of fact, I think I got a sunburn just imagining all this!

I have been creating art for 20+ years in Southern Indiana using graphite pencils, colored pencils, acrylic paint, and watercolor. A large majority of my artwork depicts nature. I do not think that an artist needs to constrain his/herself to only one style of art or medium type. Ultimately, it is the act of creating something that the artists finds pleasing and then sharing that with others that is truly art. I find it sad that artists segregate themselves into groups that are intolerant of changes. With that said, having been taught traditional and purist art techniques, I have chosen to learn from that and go a different direction.
