Artist's Description

Pink sand is a rare beauty of the sea and is formed usually one of two ways; the accumulation of tiny sea creature shells called formanifera or the weathering of volcanic rock. There are only a few beaches in the world that feature this unique sand color.

Wouldn't it be wonderful to build a unique sand castle from this rare material? While I haven't been to any pink sand beaches, I can dream in my art!

I have been creating art for 20+ years in Southern Indiana using graphite pencils, colored pencils, acrylic paint, and watercolor. A large majority of my artwork depicts nature. I do not think that an artist needs to constrain his/herself to only one style of art or medium type.
