A honeybee stays busy pollinating the flowers of a lavender plant. Honeybees play an important role in the life of many plants and provide delicious honey that humans use as a sweetener. In many parts of the world they are facing trouble from declining ecosystems, disease, pesticides, and dwindling food sources. Next time you smell a flower or eat honey/fruit/or vegetables, be sure to remember the hard work of the bees!

I have been creating art for 20+ years in Southern Indiana using graphite pencils, colored pencils, acrylic paint, and watercolor. A large majority of my artwork depicts nature. I do not think that an artist needs to constrain his/herself to only one style of art or medium type. Ultimately, it is the act of creating something that the artists finds pleasing and then sharing that with others that is truly art. I find it sad that artists segregate themselves into groups that are intolerant of changes.
