Artist's Description
Chicken eyes are all about detail. Chickens are able to see the color red very well as well as tiny objects and differences in light frequencies. This is why many chickens have red wattles, can see tiny pieces of food on the ground, and are affected by seasonal light changes. Chickens also have a third eyelid that slides horizontally accross the eye to clear debris. The chicken eyes can operate independently of one another, allowimg them to focus on two separate objects. Every chicken is mono sighted, meaning that every chicken's right eye is near sighted, and every chicken's left eue is far sighted.
When I look into my chickens' eyes, I am always surprised by the intelligence and aggressiveness behimd them. Chickens are smarter and more aggressive than people like to admit. They did evolve from dinosaurs afterall! I liken mine to tiny raptors or t-rexes.

I have been described as a woman of many interests, talents, and hobbies. My artwork reflects my...
